Galaga is a far superior sequel to Galaxian, released on last year's stick the action is much quicker paced with a cool "sacrifice ship" element to gain additional firepower. Mappy, for example, is a unique run-and-jump platformer that borrows elements from Pac-Man for its own game design. Pac-Man did, but they're all excellent games with their own level of challenge. The other four games never quite made the status that Ms. But it's nothing that a little time and practice can't fix. The main issue: because the game uses an eight-way controller rather than the original's four-directional, the diagonals can wreak a little havoc on precise control over the dot-muncher. Under a microscope, though, there are a handful of issues. It looks, sounds, and plays darn near perfectly, right down to the several different mazes, bouncing fruit, and animated intermissions between levels. Pac-Man as closely as is possible without the actual arcade hardware. The development team took the criticisms to heart and reproduced Ms. The conversion of Pac-Man in last year's Namco TV Games looked the part and played similarly, but there were several behavioral elements that stuck out like a sore thumb. Pac-Man is the obvious headliner here, and the conversion is, other than a few purist nitpicks, a spot-on match to the arcade game. Pac-Man without the need of a home console is plenty enough for the price of the stick the rest is gaming gravy. The fact that you're getting a brilliant arcade conversion of Ms. This is, without a doubt, the must-have gaming treat for 2004. Pac-Man joystick proves this fact with five wonderfully playable arcade conversions that plug directly into any TV with video and audio inputs. Polygons be damned, the pixelated 8-bit graphics can still house some excellent gameplay, and the Ms. Just a warning so you can get a jump on the holiday shopping: the sequel has been released.
